Deciding whether to close school or delay its start by an hour or two because of the weather — particularly anticipated weather — must be one of those danged-if-you-do and danged-if-you-don’t decisions.

Superintendents seem to take a razzing whether they decide to close school because of the weather, they decide to keep school open despite the weather, or they decide to delay the start of school by an hour or two because of the weather.

It just seems as though they can’t win regardless of what they do.
