Downtown Seymour will rock with a new summer concert series thanks to the hard work of Southern Indiana Center for the Arts’ new director and the efforts of Seymour Board of Public Works and Safety.
Art center director Rose Ann Dunlap shouldered much of the heavy lifting in seeing that plans for Seymour CityJam did not unravel in the maze of red tape involving the logistics of closing city streets, governing alcoholic beverages and obtaining the necessary permits to ensure that the fundraiser will happen this summer.
Seymour officials such as Mayor Craig Luedeman and city attorney Rodney Farrow worked closely with Dunlap to ensure all the necessary paperwork was taken care of properly and concerns were addressed. Some of those concerns revolved around alcohol being sold and served as part of the concert series.
