IUPUC, in an effort to enhance the education of its business students, offered for the first time this year a study-abroad program.
Two of the university’s business professors accompanied 19 undergraduate students recently on a weeklong trip to Hong Kong, which is a special administrative region of China. One goal of the trip was to provide firsthand experiences to personalize what the students knew: That everyone competes in a global economy.
Students toured the stock exchange, the world’s largest warehouse, Hong Kong Disney and a Cummins Inc. facility, where they learned about the importance of logistics and supply chain management.
