Editorial: Weekly rewards 4/25/14



Thumbs-up to Seymour Main Street, for its continuing efforts to attract people downtown through events such as the second annual Parking Lot Pickers. The event drew folks downtown, offered some a chance to dispose of things they no longer need and served as a good kickoff to Make Seymour Shine Week, the city’s annual cleanup program.

Thumbs-up to area residents who step up to serve as early voting board workers. Although they are paid a stipend for their services, the poll workers — like those on Election Day at precincts across Jackson County — provide a valuable service.

Thumbs-up to Crothersville residents and students from Crothersville High School who recently organized and staged the Arts in the Ville program. The event focused attention on the history and arts of the Vernon Township community in southeast Jackson County.
