Thumbs-up to volunteers who helped Jackson County Health Department and other first responders stage a mock mass point of distribution center. The exercise put first responders to the test on how efficiently they could set up and operate a center where medication would be delivered to the general population. Such exercises — and real-life scenarios — depend on many volunteers in addition to those volunteer and paid first responders.
Thumbs-up to Colton Lee Fleetwood, a student at Brownstown Central High School. He was recently honored as the Fort Vallonia chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution Good Citizen of the Year.
