Editorial: Weekly rewards 5/23/14



Thumbs-up to Crothersville High School students and area first responders who recently staged a mock accident to illustrate what can happen when young drivers mix texting and driving. It was a timely message given during the prom and graduation seasons.

Thumbs-up to Seymour Tubing, which recently donated $10,000 to boost education efforts in Jackson County. The Seymour auto parts maker presented the donation to Jackson County Education Coalition through an endowment with Community Foundation of Jackson County. The donation was aimed at celebrating the Japan-based company’s 25th year of operations in the community.

Thumbs-up to the many area residents who served as precinct poll workers for the May 6 primary elections. They put in a long day to help ensure that elections run smoothly and fairly.
