Area school superintendents disagree on a proposal that would allow people to conceal firearms inside their locked cars and pickups on school property.
A final House vote on the measure written by state Rep. Jim Lucas, R-Seymour, is expected Monday. Current state law makes it a felony to conceal a weapon on school property.
The language survived a proposed amendment that would have stripped Senate Bill 229 of the Lucas measure on Thursday afternoon.
