On Saturday, Trinity Lutheran will face a football team from Illinois for the second time this season.
Trinity pounded Metro-East Lutheran 56-7 on Sept. 15; and this week, the Cougars will play host to St. Francis de Sales, a Catholic school on the south side of Chicago.
“They are really smart. They have very, very high standards,” Cougars coach Anthony Levy said. “They have very high-functioning athletics. They are a smaller school, so football is going to fall to the backside of their basketball program.”
Levy said St. Francis de Sales is nationally known for basketball.
