Enrollment up in Seymour schools

Officials with Seymour Community Schools anticipated they would see an enrollment jump of nearly 150 students when classes resumed Aug. 7.

They didn’t, however, expect as many as 228 new students would show up.

Each one of those new students means the corporation could receive an additional $5,500 in state support or $1.2 million overall.
