The Christmas season is rightfully one of celebration and joy, but life’s trials can lessen our happiness through anxiety, suffering, or sorrow.
For those who are despairing, remember that Jesus was born not only to bear our sins at Calvary but also to bear our burdens right now — and every day of our life.
More than anyone, Jesus experienced the extremes of both joy and sorrow as he preached the message of salvation to a lost people. Despite the tremendous weight of the load that he alone could carry, he maintained his joy while giving joy and hope to others. Look at several instances where he maintained his joy despite his knowledge of what the future held for him.
