Expectant mom forced to wait longer

A Seymour woman had to wait at least two extra days to give birth to her baby boy as a result of a power outage Tuesday at Schneck Medical Center.

Tiffany Wayt said her appointment to be induced at the Seymour hospital was set for 6 a.m. that day, but she received a call around 4:20 a.m. and was told her appointment needed to be rescheduled.

That’s because power at the hospital went out around 1:30 a.m. Tuesday due to what hospital officials say was a failed breaker panel.
