Fast-growing fastener maker plans expansion, new jobs

COLUMBUS

Sunright America, a maker of automotive fasteners, plans to invest $34.7 million to build two additional manufacturing plants in Columbus and create 103 new jobs.

Sunright, a joint venture

between Japan-based Sugiura Seisakusho Co. and Columbus-based Rightway Fasteners Inc., celebrated its 10-year anniversary last year. In November, it unveiled a $10 million expansion.

The company employs about 150 in Woodside Industrial Park between Seymour and Columbus and makes about 5 million fasteners a day.
