Fight hunger, erase fines by donating at library

Jackson County Public Library’s Food for Fines program will run through Aug. 30.

The program allows patrons to pay fines by donating food for local food banks — Human Services, Anchor House and Community Provisions, all in Seymour; Crothersville First Baptist Church; and Medora Christian Church.

To participate, patrons may bring any nonperishable food item to the Seymour, Crothersville or Medora libraries to pay a fine for themselves or another patron. Discovery Bus customers must visit a library to participate.
