CORTLAND

No one was hurt when fire erupted in a soybean processing plant late Wednesday afternoon at Rose Acre Farms in Hamilton Township.

The fire caused minimal damage but will keep the plant closed for two to three days while the cause is investigated and repairs are made, chief executive officer Tony Wesner of Rose Acre said Wednesday night.

The fire started in what’s called the bag house, an area that collects dust from the processing plant, Wesner said.
