First Pay It Forward 5K set to help cancer patient

The first Pay It Forward 5K walk/run will be at 8 a.m. Aug. 2 at The Tabernacle, 301 Indianapolis Ave., Seymour.

The event will help Elizabeth Sparks with some of her medical expenses related to her fight against breast cancer. She was diagnosed with Stage 3 inflammatory breast cancer in February and has been undergoing treatment including chemotherapy while continuing to work.
