The players are excited. The coaches are excited. The community is excited.

Seymour’s boys basketball team kicks off the 2013-14 season under first-year coach Kyle Clough on Saturday at home against Martinsville. It is The Tribune’s Boys Basketball Game of the Week.

“I’ve said this a few times coming down here, ‘This is the best place in the world to coach high school basketball,’” Clough said. “We’re excited. Our kids are excited. I think our community is excited to  see some of the growth we’ve made. But ultimately, we’ve just kind of got to stay in our little bubble and be ready to go.”
