Fish fry slated to benefit historic hotel restoration



A fish fry to benefit the Joe Jackson Hotel Restoration project will be from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Whistle Stop, 2379 S. Main St., Vallonia.

Fish dinners will be available for $7; sandwiches are $4.50.

Proceeds will benefit the hotel at 2420 S. Main St. It was built in 1914 and is listed on the federal and state registers of historic places.
