The East Fork White River should fall to within its banks this morning, and that time can’t come soon enough for local rescue workers.

That’s because they’ve spent several days pulling as many as a dozen or more motorists from vehicles driven into high waters in the county.

Each rescue put the lives of everyone involved in peril, Sheriff Michael Carothers said Thursday.
