Since she was in middle school, Lindsey Hawkins knew what she was going to be doing during the winters after school — working on her strokes to prepare for her next swim meet.
Throughout her career at Seymour High School, Hawkins said she has mainly focused on freestyle.
“I don’t do any other stroke now,” she said. “I used to do backstroke and fly when I was a freshman, but then they started putting me in just the freestyles.”
