The Seymour football program is offering a middle school football camp from 6 to 7:30 p.m. April 1, 2, 4 and 5 at the Seymour Middle School football field.

The camp, which costs $35, is for students currently in grades 6-8.

Players will need to bring cleats and athletic clothing. Helmets will be issued for the week.

First-year head football coach Josh Shattuck said the coaching staff's terminology and basic systems of offense and defense will be introduced to prepare athletes for summer workouts.

"We highly encourage all students interested in playing football in the fall to attend this camp," Shattuck said. "If you are on the edge about playing, we can guarantee that your experience at this camp will be a positive one."

Shattuck also encourages fans to check out the new website, seymourowlsfootball.com. It has been restructured and includes information, schedules and more.
