Former Brave hosting kicking camp

BROWNSTOWN

Former Brownstown Central High School football kicker Steffen Lewis is hosting a kicking camp from 8 a.m. to noon July 12 at Blevins Memorial Stadium.

The instruction is designed for boys and girls in Grades 3 through 8. Exercises, flexibility and drills will be covered. This will include soccer-style field goal and PAT kicking, punting and kickoff techniques.

Cost is $25, and checks should be made payable to Steffen Lewis. Sign-ups will be on the first day of camp.

Athletes should bring cleats (preferably soccer/baseball/softball cleats) if possible and wear athletic attire (T-shirt and shorts).

Lewis is a 2011 BCHS graduate who played in the North-South All-Star Classic. He also is a former instructor at the Nick Mourouzis Kicking School at DePauw University. Lewis' brother, Skyller, who is the current varsity kicker at BCHS, also will be providing instruction.

Information: Call or text Steffen Lewis at 812-569-4565.
