The Fort Vallonia chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution met Sept. 12 in the meeting room at the Jackson County Public Library in Seymour.

The meeting began with a prayer and members reciting the Pledge of Allegiance and singing the “The Star-Spangled Banner.”
