FRANKLIN

Franklin outscored Seymour by one goal in each half of Saturday's boys soccer match in winning 5-3.

Franklin scored the first two goals, and Fernando Cervantes scored for Seymour (3-3-1) on an assist from Carlos Pacheco to cut the deficit in half by halftime.

The Grizzly Cubs then scored their final three goals before Adam Lenart assisted on Seymour's second-half goals by Pacheco and Ansgar Wiechert.

Franklin edged Seymour 25-21 in shots, and Owls goalkeeper Chase Salmon made seven saves.
