From farm to table: Seymour butcher sees beef at all stages

When Gary Darlage of Seymour was a kid in school, he helped out on the family farm and knew what was eventually going to happen to the cows his family raised even though he might be at school at the time.

Now when he helps out around his family farm he can follow a cow throughout its entire life cycle — from birth to the meat counter.

That’s because Darlage owns Darlage Custom Meats, which specializes in processing and retail meats.
