Linda and Rick Ferguson attended the National Funeral Directors Association International Convention and Expo Oct. 7-12 in Charlotte, N.C.

The Fergusons own Burkholder Funeral Chapel in Seymour, and Rick Ferguson is president of the Indiana Funeral Directors Association.

During the convention, Linda Ferguson had the chance to attend a Victorian funeral at Rosedale Plantation, according to a news release from the couple. She learned about the funeral practices of the 1840s and the inner workings of plantation life.
