Gluten-free diet focus of Schneck program

Schneck Medical Center’s Integrative Medicine office is hosting a gluten-free diet program this month.

The program starts at 6 p.m. April 18 in the Schneck Auditorium, just inside the visitors entrance.

Most commonly, people with celiac disease must avoid gluten. When ingested, an autoimmune response damages the lining of the small intestine. For others, choosing a gluten-free diet helps maintain digestive health and improves quality of life.
