God’s holiness obscured in today’s modern world

One of the things that many Christians in the past few generations have lost, or perhaps never had, is a real understanding of God’s holiness.

One reason is because much of recent Christian teaching, preaching and literature has glossed over God’s own holiness and watered down his expectation that his people continually live a holy life.

Rather than exhorting Christ’s disciples to live in accordance with the divine standard required for holy living, many of today’s Christian leaders and authors have instead lowered God’s standard down to the everyday living experience and standards of people.
