Golf fundraiser helps Boys & Girls Club



The second annual John Brooks Memorial Golf Outing was conducted June 14 at Shadowood Golf Course in Seymour.

Fifty-one golfers participated in this year’s event, which raised more than $3,000 for the Boys & Girls Club of Seymour's programs.

The winning team was Craig Rice, Travis Thompson, Bryan Schwering and Brock Thoele with a score of 53. The second-place team of Brad Thompson, Trevor Thompson, Mike Tracey and Brian Tidd had 56.

Gadget prize winners were Jason Stuckwisch for longest putt made on the 15th hole, Darrel Kemmerer for closest to the pin on the second hole, Derick Stuckwisch for longest drive on the ninth hole and Mark Henley for winning the putting contest.
