Grain storage company gets tax break



A grain storage company with ties to a Tampico trucking company received a tax abatement to help with an expansion project.

Scott Teipen with Tampico Grain Inc. told county council members during their meeting at the courthouse annex Wednesday the expansion plan is the result of last year being “a pretty successful year.”

“Demand has been much better than anticipated,” he said.
