Project offers plots for city dwellers

Seymour residents interested in renting a plot in the city’s first community garden have a choice of two locations.

The committee in charge of the project has selected two sites, one near Margaret R. Brown Elementary School on the southeast side of the city and the other on school-owned farm ground in Freeman Field on the southwest side.

If demand for plots exceeds available space, more gardens could be planned for other areas in the future, Seymour High School agriculture teacher Jeanna Eppley said.
