JEFFERSONVILLE

Kelly Deppen won all four events in recording a winning all-around score of 36.8 in Tuesday's gymnastics meet at Jeffersonville, and Alyssa Goen placed second in all-around to boost Seymour to a 101.325-94.75 victory.

Deppen's best score was 9.5 on vault. She also had 9.35 on bars, 9.225 on floor and 8.725 on beam.

"She is still working with a different bar dismount and beam combinations," Seymour coach Angie Mellencamp said of Deppen. "She had a good night tonight, but we didn't put in all of her difficulty. There is still room for improvement and hit sets."

Goen placed second on vault (8.875) and beam (8.35), third on bars (8.1) and fifth on floor (8.05). Sam Silver contributed to the scoring by placing third on floor (8.45), fourth on bars (6.85) and sixth on vault (8.05). Lauren Prewitt placed fourth on vault (8.25) and fifth on beam (7.6).

"Sam Silver's floor routine is getting stronger every meet, and her floor score really helped the team total tonight," Mellencamp said. "Lauren Prewitt had a beautiful beam routine. It really has improved over the season. Tonight, her dismount was not quite on point, but the rest of her routine was solid."

Seymour's next meet is Feb. 21 at Bloomington North.
