Hanging of greens set at Central Christian

Central Christian Church, Seymour, will host a Hanging of the Greens Service on Sunday in the sanctuary.

The service will begin at 6:45 p.m. with Christmas piano and organ music.

Three children’s choirs — the Cherub Choir, directed by Molly Unterseher, the Celebration Kids, directed by Jennie Chase, and the Crescendo Choir, directed by Rachel Towriss — will participate along with the adult choir, directed by Dr. David Stout. There will be short Christmas videos

incorporated into the service.

The congregation will be invited to help decorate the sanctuary trees as Christmas carols are sung, and children will be able to decorate the two trees in the lobby.

The congregation will join together in the fellowship hall for a Tasting Party, an event conducted annually. Families are asked to bring a Christmas goodie to share as they gather.

Lewis Wright, senior minister, and Doug Elliott, pastor of worship, invite the community to attend this service in preparation for the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ.

Central Christian Church is at 1434 W. Second St.
