Hauser’s 4-1 girls tennis victory against Trinity Lutheran on Wednesday might give an indication that the Jets dominated the match on the Cougars’ courts.
A closer look at the results, though, tells a different story as No. 1 singles went three sets, the first set at No. 3 singles went into a tiebreaker, and the Cougars won six games at No. 1 doubles and six games at No. 2 doubles.
Brennyn Pollert came up with Trinity’s point with a 6-2, 6-1 win against Ally Drake at No. 2 singles. Pollert trailed 1-0 in the first set before winning four straight games. She dominated the second set.
