Throughout his football career at Brownstown Central, Keaton Gay has been all over the field.
From fifth to seventh grades, he was a lineman. The coaches then moved him to fullback and linebacker, and he also has been at right guard.
Early this season, he played a few games at fullback because of a teammate’s injury. But he said he is glad Mitchell Scarlett is back in the lineup so he can return to guard, where he’s responsible for pulling, protecting the quarterback and making holes for the running backs and slots.
“I wasn’t good at (fullback) before, and I wasn’t good at it this year. It was kind of scary, actually, especially playing Charlestown,” Gay said.
