Panicked, the driver of a Chevy S-10 pickup truck involved in a wreck that left a Medora High School student dead and another injured Aug. 16 sped away from the scene after stopping briefly, court records state.
A witness and a trail of rubber pieces from a deteriorating flat tire led police to the home of Cody Silvers, 20, a Norman man arrested last week on charges in connection with the death of 16-year-old Kassi Richel Lewis-Yoskovich. Classmate Noah Brown, 15, was injured in the wreck.
Those details are part of a probable cause affidavit filed by Lawrence County Deputy Prosecutor Paul Mackowski, and used to bring charges against Silvers.
