Although some snow fell across Jackson County on Thursday morning causing slippery roads and problems for motorists, the biggest concern from local officials is what’s to come.

Forecasts from the National Weather Service in Indianapolis call for much heavier snow, strong winds and the coldest temperatures this area’s experienced in a quarter-century.
