High school bowling teams roll into sectional



Jackson County high school bowling teams recently wrapped up the regular season. Now, they are preparing for Saturday’s Southeastern Indiana Conference Sectional at Kingpins Bowl in Seymour.

On Jan. 19 at Bloomington, all three county schools competed in the varsity regular-season finale.

The Seymour girls went 2-0 on the day, defeating Madison (1,339 total pins to 1,136) and South Ripley by points 11-9 (1,394 to 1,424). Trista Phillips had a team-high 171 in the Madison match, and Jade Beddoe led with 181 in the South Ripley match.
