Seymour got its bunts down and scored two runs in the top of the first inning of Monday’s Jeffersonville Sectional softball game.
It was a good start after losing to Floyd Central 5-0 and 1-0 in the regular season.
In the bottom half, though, Floyd Central quickly took the lead on a three-run shot by Katelin Dreher, and the Highlanders wound up with 11 plate appearances in the inning and scored eight runs. They then scored six runs with two outs in the second inning en route to a 16-3 five-inning win.
