Crothersville Historical and Cultural Arts Association Board recently announced plans for renovating Hamacher Hall and the two-story brick building at 209 and 211 E. Howard St.

The association has purchased the properties and plans to have a soup supper and bake sale from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday at Hamacher Hall to raise funds for its announced renovation plans for the historic buildings.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m., and admission is free. Supper is a choice of soups, dessert and iced tea or lemonade offered at a cost of $5 for adults and $3 for children.

Soft drinks and bake sale items will be available for purchase.

Local bluegrass musician Marion Rice will perform during the event and invites others to join him on the stage for a casual jam session.

Association President Brenda Holzworth said in a news release the association plans to maintain the historical integrity of both properties.
