Hit-and-run driver given 8 years

A Norman man involved in a hit-and-run wreck that left a Medora teenager dead a year ago will spend eight years behind bars.

Lawrence Superior Court I Judge Michael Robbins sentenced 21-year-old Cody Silvers on Tuesday after he pleaded guilty to failing to stop after an accident resulting in death, a Class C felony.

That conviction was for an Aug. 16, 2013, wreck that left Kassi Richel Lewis-Yoskovich dead and Medora High School student Noah Brown hospitalized.
