Jackson County welcomed home Indiana State Fair Queen Mariah Huff on Friday night, her first day home since she gained her new title last month.
Huff rode in a caravan that traveled through much of the county.
Beginning in Brownstown, the caravan drove east through Seymour and turned south to Crothersville before returning to the W.R. Ewing reception hall in Brownstown for a public reception and dinner.
Huff was welcomed by a full house at the reception hall and addressed the crowd, giving a description of her experience as well as answering questions.
Huff said she was nervous to be in the caravan, but she said it was a lot of fun and it was great to be back home.
She said she has had a lot of support from the community that fair queens of the past may not have had from larger communities.
“I have had such good support,” Mariah said.
