The Medora and Crothersville girls basketball teams were handed losses in Thursday’s Henryville Tip-Off Tournament pool games.
Henryville 49, Medora 31
Henryville jumped out to a 16-6 lead through one quarter and outscored host Medora in two of the final three quarters in winning 49-31.
A big statistic that affected Medora was its 7-of-28 performance at the free-throw line.
Hannah Elkins led Medora with nine points, four steals and three assists. Ashley Lambert finished with seven points, and Montana Wheeler led with six rebounds.
Medora dropped to 1-1 in pool play, while Henryville moved to 2-0. Tonight, Medora will play host to Irvington Prep Academy for its final pool game.
Oldenburg Academy 64,
Crothersville traveled to play Oldenburg Academy, and the Tigers lost 64-27.
Details about the game were not available by press time.
Crothersville finished 0-2 in pool play and on Saturday will play in the final round of the tournament at Henryville.
