Humane society plans annual summer event



The Humane Society of Jackson County will stage its annual Dog Days of Summer on Aug. 23 at the Keach parking lot in downtown Seymour.

Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m., with judging starting at 9:15 a.m.

Categories include best trick, best rescue story, longest tail, shortest natural tail, dog resembling owner, precious puppy, most hair and longest ears. There will be door prizes and goody bags for the dogs.
