Hunt for shooting suspect leads to unrelated drug arrests

The search for a man wanted in connection with a shooting incident near Crothersville led police to the arrests of four people on unrelated drug charges Wednesday.

The Indiana State Police served two search warrants in rural Scott County in an attempt to round up the suspect in a shooting that occurred early Tuesday.

Sgt. Noel Houze of the state police said investigators thought the shooter or evidence of the shooting might be at one of two residences where warrants were served.

The four arrested Wednesday on the drug charges played no role in the Crothersville shooting, Houze said.
