Hunter in serious condition following incident

A 51-year-old Jackson County deer hunter was hospitalized in Kentucky after falling from a tree stand in Washington County.

Mark Collins of Medora complained of a lack of feeling in his legs after the incident Sunday near Coates Road, west of State Road 135, according to a report from Indiana Conservation Officer Neal Brewington.

A hospital spokesman said Collins was in serious but stable condition Monday afternoon.
