IU hoops program conducting summer camps

In the summer, the Indiana University men’s basketball program is offering a variety of camps led by head coach Tom Crean and current players.

There are two sessions of Instruction and Competition Camp — June 23 through 26 and June 28 through July 1. It runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is open to boys and girls in Grades 4 through 12. An emphasis on the importance of skill development and translating that over into game play is a key part of this camp.

The Little Hoosiers Basketball Academy is from 9 a.m. to noon and 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. July 16 through 18 and July 21 through 23. This camp, for those in kindergarten through third grade, is designed to provide a positive, non-competitive environment while also introducing and exciting kids about the game of basketball. Campers are taught the basic fundamentals through drills, contests and games.
