Ice cream social set at heritage center in Hope

The Haw Creek Heritage Center will conduct an ice cream social from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday as part of Hope’s Old Fashioned Fourth of July.

Cost is $5 per adult and $3 per child, with member discounts available.

With admission, visitors can create their own ice cream sundae; work up an appetite churning ice cream and get a taste of their efforts; show their artistic side with patriotic crafts; test their skills with pioneer games; listen to the harmonies of Speedbump, a barbershop quartet; and decorate their bicycle for the parade, which will be held on Hope’s town square at 5:30 p.m.
