Immanuel Guild conducts November meeting



Immanuel Guild recently held its November meeting in the Immanuel Lutheran Church fellowship hall.

Tammy Swindell presided over the business meeting and opened with the group singing “God Bless our Native Land.”

For the topic, Dave Sandhage presented a video featuring Aaron Bloch and Matt Mellencamp at a servant event in Nicaragua in July.

Thirty-four members responded to roll call, and the secretary minutes and treasurer’s report were read and accepted.

The Mites for Missions box was passed, and monies are to be donated to the Koester-Carpenter benefit featuring a basketball free-throw contest.

Norma Thiele read the names of November birthdays.

Sharon Toppe reported the Christmas party will be at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 4 at the church. Money will be collected for a needy project.

Visitation for next month will be made by Peggy Stark and Jan Wilde.

Sandy Kilgas gave the closing devotion titled “A grateful Nation.”

A patriotic theme was used throughout. Marilyn Hurt, Kayla Thompson, Martha Bloch and Jan Blomenberg served dessert.
