Immanuel church group learns about Cambodian student

Immanuel Lutheran Church Ladies Aid 3 met May 17 in the church fellowship hall.

President Marlis Kilgas opened the meeting, and the group sang two verses of “Crown Him With Many Crowns.” Psalm 8 was read.

Kilgas also introduced the guest speakers, Pastor Andrew Currao with Redeemer Lutheran Church and Daniel Phin, a student at Trinity Lutheran High School. They talked about the circumstances of Phin coming here from Cambodia, and he spoke of his country, his family and the Christian missionary work in Cambodia. Phin said only 2 percent of people in Cambodia are Christian, and his father is director of the Lutheran Hour ministries in Cambodia. He also answered questions.
