When Dr. Levi Nehrt, 28, of Seymour found his wife had entered him in a popular women’s magazine contest to find the hottest husband in America, and he had been named a finalist, he was in disbelief and a little embarrassed.

“He doesn’t look to be in the spotlight, because he knows that he is no different or better than anyone else,” Jennifer (Watkins) Nehrt, said of her husband of 10 years.

Jennifer, also 28, said she came across Redbook’s Hottest Husband in America contest a couple of years ago and decided to enter Levi, a local chiropractor.

“I didn’t hear back though,” she said. “But when my mom got me a gift subscription to Redbook and I saw the contest this year, I thought I would try again.”

So Jennifer submitted a couple of photos and in 500 words or less described why she thought Levi was

deserving of the title.

“Obviously, I think he’s hot on the outside,” she said. “But I think it’s more about being hot on the inside. He’s a great husband and father and just a good all-around person. Just by knowing him and having him in your life makes you a better person.”

The couple are the parents of two young children, Ella, 3, and Nolan, 2.
